WHAT:
The event, dubbed "Careers in Transportation, Logistics, Manufacturing and Maritime Related Businesses," will be hosted by UNF Career Services. Representatives from more than two dozen transportation and logistics companies will be on hand seeking to fill a wide range of openings. Also attending will be representatives of local educational institutions offering related degree programs.

- Maritime, manufacturing and logistics companies throughout Northeast Florida
WHY:
Jacksonville is a major U.S. hub for international trade and is rated as one of the nation’s top 10 “Logistics Friendly” cities based on a 2005 study by Expansion Management magazine. Companies doing business at Jacksonville’s seaport employ some 7,000 people, while thousands of additional workers hold positions in dozens of support positions ranging from equipment maintenance to information technology. The career fair is an excellent opportunity to explore job opportunities in these growing fields.
