JAXPORT Executive Director Rick Ferrin and Senior Directors to Present �State of the Port Address� Feb. 22
Feb. 15, 2007 -- JAXPORT's Executive Director Rick Ferrin will lead a panel of JAXPORT senior directors to present the annual �State of the Port Address� on Thursday, Feb. 22 to members of the Propeller Club � Port of Jacksonville. The event begins at 11:30 a.m. and will be held at the JAXPORT Cruise Terminal (9810 August Drive).
The event is open to the public, but advanced registration is required. The cost is $25 and lunch is included. To register, call the Propeller Club at telephone (904) 993-0032, or email reservations@Propellerclubjax.com.
Moderated by Victoria Robas, Director of JAXPORT�s Blount Island and Dames Point terminals, the first half of the presentation will feature a discussion of various port topics, including harbor deepening, the port�s expansion plans, seaport security and the future of Jacksonville�s port. In the second half of the event, audience members will have an opportunity to ask Port Authority staff questions of their own � the first time such audience participation will play a role in a �State of the Port Address.�
Ferrin will be joined by JAXPORT�s Deputy Executive Director/Chief Financial Officer Ron Baker; Sr. Director of Terminal Operations and Port Security Chris Kauffmann; Sr. Director of Cruise Operations and Business Development Tony Orsini; Sr. Director of Planning and Properties David Kaufman; Sr. Director of Government and External Affairs Eric Green; and Sr. Director of Marketing and Trade Development Roy Schleicher.
