Board of Directors Meeting Report – Nov. 3, 2008 Nov. 3, 2008 -- JAXPORT's Board of Directors took the following actions at their meeting held today:
JAXPORT’s Board of Directors approved a contractual item allowing Archer Western Contractors to proceed with sheet pile enhancements at State Road 9A, Heckscher Drive and New Berlin Road. Road enhancements in the area are still expected to be completed in Spring 2009, with the critical work being completed in time for the opening of the new TraPac Container Terminal.
The Board also approved the staff’s proposed terms and conditions of a lease and operating contract for a new container facility, which will next be presented on Nov. 11 to the board of directors of Hanjin Shipping Co.
The Board’s next meeting is scheduled for Dec. 10.
