Robert provides strategic guidance in leading the port’s marketing and sales department day-to-day activities on behalf of the Chief Commercial Officer. He also oversees all market research, data analysis and prospect targeting to identify new business opportunities and qualify sales leads.
Robert joined JAXPORT in June 1995 as the organization’s Communications Coordinator in the External Affairs department. Subsequently, he was promoted to the positions of Communications Manager and then Director of Corporate Communications, leading JAXPORT’s public relations and community involvement efforts until 2007. He was then named Director of Marketing before assuming his current duties in October 2013.
Robert is a graduate of Colorado State University with a bachelor’s degree in journalism. He earned a master’s degree in public administration (MPA) from the University of North Florida in 2005. Robert also is Accredited in Public Relations (APR), and he holds a Certification in Transportation & Logistics (CTL) from the American Society of Transportation and Logistics.
