In 2015, the world’s fastest racing boats moved through our Blount Island Marine Terminal. The seven H1 Unlimited Hydroplane boats---including first-place winner, The Oberto/Miss Madison---were returning to the U.S. after the #UIMWorldChampionship in Qatar.
FUN FACT: The Unlimited Hydroplane racing boat is capable of speeds greater than 200 mph!

Brian, pictured here, is one of eight students who recently graduated from the program run in cooperation by Operation New Hope, JAXPORT and many of our port partners.
The program connects non-violent former offenders with jobs in Northeast Florida’s growing transportation and logistics industry.
In addition to providing a second chance for individuals re-entering the workforce, the academy helps area employers fill in-demand positions.
