JAXPORT is committed to the safety of our port employees, contractors, visitors and tenants. JAXPORT's Risk Management department actively promotes safe work practices at port facilities, and JAXPORT employees also participate in the JAXPORT Terminals Safety Council with Port Authority tenants.

The Council's mission is "to promote a safe working environment utilizing best industry practices at JAXPORT facilities for employees, workers and visitors."

The Council meets on the second Wednesday of each month.
(Note: The November and December meetings will be combined into one meeting held on Dec. 2, 2009 at the JAXPORT Security Operations Center.)


JAXPORT Safety Manual
JAXPORT publishes a Safety Manual as part of a continuing program for providing safety information and updating safety awareness to all personnel.

This manual brings together information that will assist Port Authority employees and supervisors to carry out their responsibility in ensuring a safe environment throughout JAXPORT. It is also a source for obtaining instructions on how to report accidents and injuries. All personnel are required to become very familiar with this manual and follow safety policies and procedures while performing their work.
