- JAXPORT honored with Logistics Management 2024 “Quest for Quality” award
The Jacksonville Port Authority (JAXPORT) has been recognized with a “Quest for Quality Award” by subscribers of Logistics Management magazine.
The Quest for Quality Awards, now in their 41st year, serve as a benchmark for excellence in the transportation and logistics sector. The awards are based on a comprehensive six-month research project conducted by Peerless Research Group (PRG), with input from qualified shippers who utilize the services of seaports, ocean carriers and logistics providers globally.
For the ports category, Logistics Management readers graded seaports on their performance in five categories, including:
- ease of doing business
- value
- ocean carrier network
- intermodal network
- equipment and operations
Subscribers to Logistics Management magazine represent the top cargo decision-makers in the transportation and logistics industry and have repeatedly acknowledged JAXPORT’s excellence. The port has previously been named a Quest for Quality winner in 2022, 2019 and 2016, further cementing its reputation as a leader in customer service and operational efficiency.
“This recognition is due to the hard work of our entire port community, and it’s another testament to Jacksonville’s status as America’s Logistics Center,” said JAXPORT CEO Eric Green. “At JAXPORT, we remain steadfast in our commitment to providing top-tier service and operational excellence for our cargo partners.”
Strategic advantages
Located in the heart of the Southeast U.S., JAXPORT is Florida’s No. 1 container port by volume, the No. 1 U.S. mainland port for trade with Puerto Rico, and one of the nation’s top vehicle-handling ports. The port offers a 47-foot deepwater shipping channel, two-way ship traffic and same-day access to nearly 100 million consumers.
JAXPORT continues to invest in infrastructure and sustainable practices to meet the growing demands of the industry. The port’s ongoing projects and initiatives are designed to enhance operational efficiency and resiliency, ensuring it remains a preferred choice for ocean carriers and global shippers.
