JAXPORT hosts COVID-19 vaccine mobile clinics

Jacksonville’s maritime workers have the opportunity to receive COVID-19 vaccines during a mobile vaccination clinic hosted at JAXPORT this week. The clinic is open to the public and held through a partnership with JAX Chamber and the non-profit health center Agape Family Health.

“From ensuring the uninterrupted flow of everyday goods—including food and medical supplies—to keeping Northeast Florida’s economic engine running, port workers play a critically important role in our community,” said JAXPORT CEO Eric Green. “We are grateful to our partners at JAX Chamber and Agape for providing these vaccines to help safeguard our maritime community.”

Another mobile clinic will be held at JAXPORT’s Access Control Center on Friday, April 16. The clinic is open to the public.

Appointments are not necessary. Participants are asked to bring a driver’s license or other state-issued identification card.

The JAXPORT sites are administering the Moderna vaccine. The clinics will return to JAXPORT in four weeks for follow-up doses.
