Today JAXPORT employees celebrated Earth Day by participating in clean-up events near the port’s facilities along the St. Johns River.

Employees picked up trash at sites around JAXPORT’s three marine terminals, including areas along Talleyrand Avenue and the base of the Dames Point Bridge.

“Protecting the environment and giving back to the community is important to us as an organization, and it’s important to our employees on a personal level as well,” said JAXPORT CEO Eric Green. “Incorporating eco-friendly initiatives is a key part of our plans as we prepare our port for future growth.”

From designing cargo terminals and adopting innovative technology to purchasing new equipment and reviewing operations, JAXPORT is committed to environmental protection and stewardship. Learn more at JAXPORT.com/environment.
