Thursday, Sept. 5
Final Dorian update: JAXPORT is now open with NO RESTRICTIONS. The port is fully operational. Please check with your stevedore or terminal operator for individual hours of operation. Read the MSIB.
The port sustained no damage or navigational hindrance to its waterways.
The Port of Jacksonville is now OPEN WITH RESTRICTIONS. Vessels with a draft of 36 ft. or less are authorized to transit in and out of the port. Vessels with a draft greater than 36 ft. are prohibited from entering the port pending further assessment by the Coast Guard. Read the MSIB.
JAXPORT’s main gates are open to landside and ship-to-shore cargo operations. Please check with your stevedore or terminal operator for individual hours of operation.
Cruise passengers scheduled to depart from JAXPORT today, Thursday, Sept. 5: Please disregard your arrival appointment window and plan to arrive at the JAXPORT Cruise Terminal between 2 – 6 p.m. Thursday.

Wednesday, Sept. 4
JAXPORT is working closely with the U.S. Coast Guard Sector Jacksonville to reopen the port as quickly as possible.
Port assessments will begin early Thursday morning. Facilities are expected to open to tenant inspections beginning around 8:45 a.m. Thursday.
JAXPORT remains under Port Hurricane Condition ZULU until cleared to reopen to cargo operations by the Coast Guard.
Cruise Passengers scheduled to depart from JAXPORT on Thursday, Sept. 5: Please disregard your arrival appointment window and plan to arrive at the JAXPORT Cruise Terminal between 2 – 6 p.m. on Thursday.

Tuesday, Sept. 3
Hurricane Port Condition ZULU is now in effect for the Port of Jacksonville. JAXPORT’s terminals remain closed to all commercial traffic for the duration of Hurricane Dorian and until cleared to reopen by the U.S. Coast Guard Captain of the Port for Sector Jacksonville.

Under Port Condition ZULU, all vessels are prohibited from entering or remaining in port. Additionally, all ship-to-shore cargo operations must cease.
The port’s administrative offices and facilities are closed Tuesday and Wednesday, in alignment with the City of Jacksonville’s city office closures.
Cruise passengers: Carnival is still evaluating plans for the Carnival Ecstasy sailing scheduled for Thursday, September 5, 2019. Passengers on that cruise can sign up for text alerts by texting CCL12 to CRUISE (278473).

Monday, Sept. 2
JAXPORT’s terminals are now closed to all commercial traffic. The port will remain closed for the duration of Hurricane Dorian and until cleared to reopen by the U.S. Coast Guard Captain of the Port for Sector Jacksonville.
The Captain of the Port will set Port Hurricane Condition ZULU for the Port of Jacksonville as of 8 a.m. Tuesday, September 3, 2019. Read the MSIB here.
Under Hurricane Condition ZULU, all commercial vessels over 500 gross tons are prohibited from entering or remaining in port. Additionally, all ship-to-shore cargo operations must cease 6 hours prior to the setting of ZULU.
The port’s administrative offices and facilities are closed Tuesday and Wednesday, in alignment with the City of Jacksonville’s city office closures.

The U.S. Coast Guard Captain of the Port for Sector Jacksonville has set Port Hurricane Condition YANKEE for the Port of Jacksonville as of 8 a.m. Monday. Read the MSIB here.
The port’s administrative offices and facilities will be closed on Tuesday and Wednesday, in alignment with the City of Jacksonville’s closures.

Sunday, Sept. 1
JAXPORT’s terminals will close to incoming vessels at 8 a.m. Monday morning.
The U.S. Coast Guard Captain of the Port for Sector Jacksonville plans to maintain Port Hurricane Condition X-RAY for the Port of Jacksonville until 8 a.m. on Monday, Sept. 2, 2019. After that time, the condition will shift to Port Hurricane Condition YANKEE.
JAXPORT is currently open without restrictions. Once Port Hurricane Condition YANKEE goes into effect Monday morning, incoming vessels, including tugs and barges, are prohibited from entering the port. All outgoing vessels must exit the port prior to the setting of Port Hurricane Condition ZULU (12 hours prior to the arrival of sustained gale force winds). In addition, all ship-to-shore cargo operations must cease 6 hours prior to the setting of Port Hurricane Condition ZULU.

The U.S. Coast Guard Captain of the Port for Sector Jacksonville is maintaining Hurricane Port Condition X-RAY for the Port of Jacksonville until at least 2 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 1, 2019.

Cruise passengers: Carnival Ecstasy remains on schedule for its next cruise out of JAXPORT on Saturday, August 31, 2019. According to Carnival Cruise Line, no itinerary change is planned at this time.

Friday, Aug. 30
The US Coast Guard Captain of the Port is expecting to keep the Port of Jacksonville in Hurricane Port Condition X-RAY until at least 2 p.m. on Saturday, August 31, 2019. See MSIB.
The port remains open to all commercial traffic with no restrictions.
Thursday, Aug. 29
Effective 8 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 29, 2019, the U.S. Coast Guard Captain of the Port will set port hurricane condition X-RAY for the Port of Jacksonville. See MSIB.
The port remains open to all commercial traffic.
All vessels, including tugs and barges, already in port or arriving during Hurricane Port Condition X-Ray shall continue with preparations and safely depart the port before the setting of Hurricane Port Condition ZULU (12 hours prior to the arrival of sustained gale force winds).

Effective 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 28, 2019, the U.S. Coast Guard Captain of the Port will set port hurricane condition WHISKEY for the Port of Jacksonville. See MSIB.
