The US Coast Guard has lifted Hurricane Port Condition ZULU for the Port of Jacksonville. JAXPORT is now fully open and operational.

August 31, 2023 – 8:30 a.m.
JAXPORT is now open to landside cargo operations. Because JAXPORT terminal operators establish their own operating hours at their gated facilities, drivers should check with their terminal operator for their specific hours of operation.
JAXPORT remains under Hurricane Port Condition ZULU (closed to marine traffic) as the U.S. Coast Guard continues its post-storm assessments of the Port of Jacksonville’s waterways. We will await the lifting of ZULU by the USCG to resume any vessel operations.

August 30, 2023 – 9 p.m.
JAXPORT will reopen to landside cargo operations on Thursday, August 31, as soon as early morning post-storm facility assessments are completed. Because JAXPORT terminal operators establish their own operating hours at their gated facilities, drivers should check with their terminal operator for their specific hours of operation.
JAXPORT remains under Hurricane Port Condition ZULU (closed to marine traffic) as the U.S. Coast Guard continues its post-storm assessments of the Port of Jacksonville’s waterways. We will await the lifting of ZULU by the USCG to resume any vessel operations.

August 30, 2023 – 7 a.m.
The U.S. Coast Guard Captain of the Port for Sector Jacksonville set Hurricane Port Condition ZULU for the Port of Jacksonville effective 8 p.m. yesterday, Tuesday, August 29. JAXPORT is closed through today, Wednesday, August 30.
The port anticipates reopening tomorrow, Thursday, August 31, pending storm impacts and once federal reopening safety protocols are completed.

Guests who departed on Saturday, August 25: Carnival Elation is anticipated to return to the port as originally scheduled on Thursday, although its arrival time could be delayed. Updates will be posted as they become available from Carnival Cruise Line.

The U.S. Coast Guard Captain of the Port for Sector Jacksonville has set Hurricane Port Condition YANKEE for the Port of Jacksonville effective at noon today, August 29. The port is currently open and operational. JAXPORT will enter Port Condition ZULU at 8 p.m. tonight.
Because JAXPORT terminal operators establish their own operating hours at their gated facilities, drivers seeking to pick up or drop off a load are encouraged to check with their terminal operator for their specific hours of operation. Shippers can also reach out to their terminal operator to track their cargo. Terminal operator contact information is available here.
JAXPORT Main Gates: All inbound trucking lanes will close at 3 p.m. today, August 29. All trucks must depart by 5 p.m. today. JAXPORT Administrative Offices will be closed tomorrow, Wednesday, August 30. JAXPORT continues to monitor Tropical Storm Idalia.
The U.S. Coast Guard Captain of the Port set Hurricane Port Condition X-RAY for Jacksonville’s harbor as of noon on Monday, August 28. Under Condition X-RAY, sustained gale force winds associated with tropical cyclone activity are predicted within 48 hours. Gale force winds are sustained winds above 39 mph.
We anticipate the U.S. Coast Guard Captain of the Port will set Port Condition Yankee later in the evening on Monday, August 28, followed by Port Condition Zulu by 5 p.m. on Tuesday, August 29.
Tenants and drivers should prepare for all JAXPORT terminal inbound trucking lanes to close at 3 p.m. on Tuesday, August 29. JAXPORT will fully close to all traffic at 5 p.m. All trucks must depart by 5 p.m.

The U.S. Coast Guard Captain of the Port set Hurricane Port Condition WHISKEY for Jacksonville’s harbor as of 6 p.m. Sunday. Under Condition WHISKEY, sustained gale force winds associated with tropical cyclone activity are predicted within 72 hours. Gale force winds are sustained winds above 39 mph.
