- JAXPORT employees and port partners raise nearly $20,000 for two charities serving Northeast Florida
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (February 15, 2022) – JAXPORT employees and port partners raised nearly $20,000 during the 2021 JAXPORT Charity Drive.
The funds, raised by employee giving and port partner sponsorships, will benefit the United Way of Northeast Florida and Creating Healthier Communities (CHC). Both charities say the lasting impact of the pandemic has increased the need for their services.
“This remarkable donation speaks volumes about the generosity of our JAXPORT employees and port partners, who continue to give back to our community at a time when the need is greater than ever,” said JAXPORT Vice Chair J. Palmer Clarkson.
Sponsors of this year’s charity drive include AMPORTS, Crowley, Watco, and Taylor Engineering.
JAXPORT has contributed more than $700,000 to the United Way of Northeast Florida and CHC since 2002.
JAXPORT also sponsors and participates in numerous Northeast Florida community outreach programs focused on education, the environment, supporting area small businesses, and workforce development. For more information, visit JAXPORT.com/Community.
