JAXPORT receives highest honors from First Coast Worksite Wellness Council

JAXPORT was recently named one of Jacksonville’s healthiest companies for the second year in a row.

Through on-site health coaching, JAXPORT employees are able to improve body mass index (BMI), blood pressure and glucose levels.

Experts note that employees at risk of high BMI cost companies $1,091 per person each year while those with high blood pressure can cost $1,378. In 2017, JAXPORT’s wellness incentives improved the BMI of participating employees by 58 percent and blood pressure by 23 percent.

The JAXPORT Wellness Committee’s initiatives give employees opportunities to earn points and incentives through participation in wellness-related activities.
