In an emergency situation dial 911. After 911, report the situation to JAXPORT’s 24/7 Public Safety Operations Center at (904) 357-3360 as soon as possible.

If you witness criminal activity dial 911. If you see suspicious activity, report it to JAXPORT’s 24/7 Public Safety Operations Center at (904) 357-3360 as soon as possible.
Are firearms allowed on port property?
Firearms are prohibited on port property. (Florida State statute 311.12 (3)3(b))
Is there somewhere I can store my firearm while I make my delivery?
The port does not provide firearm storage.
I found someone’s credentials on the port, where should I turn them in?
Refer to directions on the back of the credential. If you have any questions, contact Access Control at (904) 357-3344.
Accessing the Port
What is a TWIC?
A Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) is a U.S. Government issued photo and biometric ID. Visit the official TSA TWIC information website for additional information and for TWIC frequently asked questions.
Do I need a TWIC to access the port?
Yes, a valid TWIC is required for unescorted access onto restricted access areas of the port. In addition to a valid TWIC, you will need a JAXPORT Business Purpose Credential to enter the port. Drivers without TWIC must be under a supervised escort to access the port. If you have further questions about port access, you can contact JAXPORT’s Access Control Center at (904) 357-3344 or via e-mail.
How do I apply for a TWIC?
TWIC applicants should visit TSA’s Universal Enrollment Services (UES) location in Jacksonville, Fla. The UES office is located at 2121 Corporate Square Blvd. Bldg. A, Suite 165 Jacksonville, Florida 32216-1991
What is a JAXPORT badge?
JAXPORT badges are the official Jacksonville Port Authority issued ID badge. Also called the JAXPORT Business Purpose Credential, JAXPORT badges have a user photo displayed on the front and are used in conjunction with the TWIC to gain access to restricted port areas.
How do I apply for a JAXPORT Badge?
Apply in person at JAXPORT’s Access Control Center at 9620 Dave Rawls Blvd., Jacksonville FL 32226. You will need to complete a JAXPORT Business Purpose credential registration form.
What are JAXPORT’s Access Control Center hours of operation?

Can I escort someone with just my TWIC?
No. You must also have a JAXPORT badge in addition to a valid TWIC to conduct an escort onto JAXPORT’s restricted access areas. You need to have completed a Maritime Security (MARSEC) training class/TWIC Escort training and be familiar with the rules and responsibilities for conducting TWIC escorts onto JAXPORT property.

Where do I go to get a TWIC Escort?
Contact the port tenant company you are conducting business with. Each port tenant company will advise you who to contact to get a TWIC escort and complete your business.

I have lost my TWIC, what should I do now?
Contact the UES Call Center at 1-855-347-8371 to report your TWIC as lost or stolen. Refer to TSA’s TWIC Program official website for additional information. You can order a replacement TWIC by visiting https://universalenroll.dhs.gov/.
I have lost my JAXPORT badge, what should I do now?
Contact the JAXPORT Access Control Center at (904) 357-3344 and report your JAXPORT badge as lost or stolen. Visit the JAXPORT Access Control Center located at 9620 Dave Rawls Blvd., Jacksonville, FL 32226 in person to apply for a replacement JAXPORT badge. A replacement fee of $25 may be assessed at the time of application.
I have a new employer – do I have to re-apply for a JAXPORT credential?
Yes, apply in person at the JAXPORT Access Control Center located at 9620 Dave Rawls Blvd., Jacksonville, FL 32226. There is no fee assessed for a change of employer. You will need to complete a JAXPORT Business Purpose credential registration form and return your old credential.
My last employer took my TWIC – do I have to apply for a new one?
Contact the UES Call Center at 1-855-347-8371 or the TSA Helpline at 1-866-289-9673 for further information. In most cases, the individual to whom the credential was issued should retain possession of their TWIC.
I don’t have a driver’s license. Can I operate a motor vehicle on the port?
You must have a valid driver’s license to operate a motor vehicle on JAXPORT property.
What is required to apply for the port badge?
Valid TWIC, government issued photo ID, and completed JAXPORT Registration form signed by your port sponsor.
I don’t have a TWIC – how do I gain access?
Persons who need access to the port but do not have a TWIC must be under direct and constant supervision of a valid TWIC holder assigned as an escort. JAXPORT offers 24/7 TWIC escort services for non-TWIC holders requiring business-related access to JAXPORT terminals.
You can also contact the port tenant company you are visiting to coordinate getting a TWIC escort.
If you plan on regularly accessing the port, you will be required to apply for and acquire a TWIC. Visit TSA’s TWIC information website for additional information.
How long does the port badge last?
The JAXPORT badge is linked by expiration date to your TWIC or contract expiration date.
How much does the JAXPORT badge cost?
The JAXPORT badge is issued free of charge. Replacement JAXPORT badges may be assessed a replacement fee of $25 payable to JAXPORT (payment by credit/debit card, cashier’s check or money order).

How many times can I access the port?
For valid TWIC and JAXPORT holders, you have unlimited visits for authorized business. For TWIC holding visitors (without a JAXPORT badge), you must be added to the visitor/vendor access request form, if you are a frequent visitor you are required to register for a JAXPORT Badge.
Are there age restrictions to be able to apply for the port badge?
No, however applicants will need a valid TWIC, government issued ID, and port tenant company sponsor to be issued a JAXPORT badge.
Are there age restrictions to be able to apply for the TWIC Card?
No. Specific requirements must be met to legally obtain a TWIC. Visit https://www.tsa.gov/for-industry/twic and check the “Eligibility” section for additional information.
Can I make an appointment to apply for the port badge?
Groups of eight or more people may set up an appointment with JAXPORT’s Access Control Center by calling (904) 357-3344.
Is there a pre-enrollment process for the port badge?
Yes, you may print out the JAXPORT Registration form. Have your valid TWIC, government issued ID, and completed JAXPORT Registration form with you when you arrive.
Can I bring my unaffiliated visitor (e.g., child) to work with me?
You must contact the port tenant company you have business with, who may or may not by policy allow children on their facility.
I forgot my JAXPORT badge at home will I still be able to access the port?
You must have your issued JAXPORT badge with you to access the port.
I forgot my TWIC Card at home will I still be able to access the port?
You must have your issued TWIC with you to access the port, or be escorted.
Do I have to replace my port badge if it is faded or damaged?
Yes, your JAXPORT badge must be readable by security personnel, and the picture should be clear. If your badge becomes faded or damaged over time, visit JAXPORT’s Access Control Center for a free replacement.
Do I have to replace my TWIC if it is faded or damaged?
Yes, your TWIC must be inspected by security personnel and should present a clear photo, legible writing, and have all security features intact.
Do you have TSA – PreCheck located at the port?
No, TSA PreCheck customers should visit TSA’s Universal Enrollment Services location in Jacksonville at 2121 Corporate Square Blvd. Bldg. A, Suite 165 Jacksonville, Florida 32216-1991 or visit http://www.tsa.gov/tsa-precheck.

What time does the port close?
We are a landlord port, open year-round, 24 hours a day. Coordinate with your specific port tenant company before making a delivery to ensure you arrive during the company’s business hours of operation to prevent being turned around at the main gate. You can view Tenant Hours of Operation here.
Do I need a pass to park on the pier?
Parking on the pier is for authorized personnel in DESIGNATED AREAS ONLY.
Where can I park on the port?
Contact the port tenant company you are visiting for directions. They will have a designated area on their facility property for you to park.
Do you have the phone number to U. S. Customs and Border Patrol? I’m trying to declare my vehicle.
