JAXPORT’s three newly constructed 100-gauge cranes departed today from Shanghai, China en route to JAXPORT. The container cranes are being transported aboard the Zhen Hua 14, which is expected to arrive in Jacksonville in August. Each crane has a 22 container reach and will significantly increase Blount Island Terminal’s cargo-handling capacity. These cranes will join the larger cranes already in use at JAXPORT’s TraPac Container Terminal.

Located in Northeast Florida in the heart of the South Atlantic, JAXPORT is a full-service, international trade seaport situated at the crossroads of the nation’s rail and highway network.

The port owns, maintains and markets three cargo terminals, a cruise terminal and an intermodal rail terminal along the St. Johns River: Blount Island Marine Terminal, Dames Point Marine Terminal, Talleyrand Marine Terminal, the JAXPORT Cruise Terminal and the JAXPORT Intermodal Container Transfer Facility.
